All Truth - Part 5.
The lesson on March 7, 2004 continues the series on All Truth, which is the title of a book written by J. Eustas Mills
describing the final body of truth given in scripture. As Christians, we are requested to grown in the knowledge of Christ Jesus by
studying His word. As a new born babe in Christ, we need to desire the sincere milk of the word, then as we grow we will be able to
handle the meat of scripture. God progressively reveals truth in scripture and it’s up to us to study and learn when and who certain
passages apply in order to rightly divide scripture. For example, in Genesis 1:29, God told Adam and Eve to eat a vegetarian diet, yet in Genesis 9:3, God told Noah to begin a
carnivorous diet. Here is a simple example how something changed with a latter revelation. Another example is in John 16:13, when Jesus told the
disciples that when the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide them into all truth because it had not been revealed at that time. Even when it was later in the
ministry of Jesus ( Luke 24:44) when He tells the disciples that there is no
new revelation since the events that transpired was all foretold in the Old Testament in the law and the prophets. Neither
was there anything new in the writings of Peter, James, John, and Jude. Even Paul had based his message on the law
and prophets up until the end of Acts when he then closes with a declaration that the Gentiles would now be authorized to
receive salvation. Now, for the first time, we see Paul talk about a new revelation in Ephesians, Philippians, and
Colossians. The final body of truth given in scripture has particular and specific attributes that apply to the body of Christ.

The Bible warns us of false prophets, false doctrine, and false worship. Another word for
false is counterfeit. In lieu of religion and tradition that we have seen can make the word of
God of none effect, how do you prepare yourself against counterfeit Christianity? By studying
the truth which is the Word of God. Jesus said,” I am the way, the truth, and the Life”. There
are several passages in scripture that warn us of counterfeit Christianity. For instance,
Colossians 2:8-10 (KJV) says “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain
deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in
him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the
head of all principality and power:”. The definition of counterfeit is to 1. To make a copy of,
usually with the intent to defraud; forge: or 2. To make fraudulent copies of something valuable.
There are examples of counterfeit worship by the religious leaders of their time, the Scribes
and Pharisees. Matt 15:7-8(KJV) says “Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying
, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their
heart is far from me.” Further, in Matt 23:14-15(KJV) “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees,
hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater
damnation. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and
when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.” The lesson on March 14, 2004 uses an
analogy by showing the process of identifying counterfeit money... you identify the false by studying the real thing! Click here to listen now. Be sure and download the handout that goes with the lesson as well.

. God has given us the opportunity to understand what His program is today
but in Christianity it is often obscured by philosophy and vain deceit, even after tradition or
religion. The pursuit of these things has nullified the proper understanding of our calling or specific mail and consequently, Christians don’t even understand their marching orders for
today. They haven’t regarded the final commandments from above which is what the Apostle Paul is talking about in Colossians 1:25-26 (KJV) when he says “Whereof I am made a minister
, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:” God has revealed truth progressively in scripture and the final body of
truth was given to the Apostle Paul when he was in prision. This ministry given to Paul is called
the Mystery which was not hidden in the Old Testament scriptures, but it was hidden in God before the foundation of the world. The last seven books written by Paul are Ephesians,
Philippians, Colossians, Titus, Philemon, 1 & 2 Timothy. It’s in these books that we find the final
marching orders for Christians today. The lesson on March 21, 2004 continues the series in All Truth. Click here to listen now or go to the complete series.
According to the scriptures, thirty-six distinct prophecies were fulfilled in one day when Christ

Have you seen the movie “The Passion of Christ”? Remember, the most important aspect of the crucifixion is the resurrection which separates Christianity from any other religion.

prisoner and crucified on the cross. This 24 hour period includes the last twelve hours of Jesus which has been portrayed in the movie “The Passion
of Christ”. We are reminded in Acts 1:1-3 of the passion and the more important fact that He rose again. “The former treatise have I
made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy
Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs,
being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:” The “Passion of Christ” movie is a very powerful rendition of the last twelve hours of Jesus earthly ministry. The suffering
from the scourging in the movie is horrible to watch. It adds a certain emphasis to the scriptures that ask us to suffer on
behalf of Christ. The Passion of Christ and the Compassion of God is summarized quite nicely from Ephesians 2:4-7 “But
God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us
together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly
places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” The lesson on March 28 studies the Passion of Christ. There is a handout you may download which details the 36 prophecies fulfilled in the 24 hour period. Click here to listen now.
