All Truth - Part 1. In Colossians 4:12 (KJV), the Apostle Paul tells us “Epaphras, who is one of
you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye
may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” The idea of perfection here is not being
perfect but being like a ripe piece of fruit. However, why does Epaphras pray that another
saint to be complete? This prayer demonstrates that there is a difference between salvation and
calling. When we become saved we become a saint, however there is a maturing process that
has to occur in the Christians life that comes from studying the word of God. Paul talks about this concept in Ephesians
5::2-17 (KJV) that we are to “walk in love”, “walk as children of light:”, and
“walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise”. Finally, verse 17 tells us
“Wherefore be ye not unwise, but
understanding what the will of the Lord is.” The lesson on January 25, 2004 begins a series of lessons based on the
book “All Truth” written by J. Eustice Mills.
It begins to study how scripture and truth in scripture is revealed progressively It’s very important to understand how
scripture is divided and truth is revealed. Christians often think of this as the King James divisions between the Old
Testament and the New Testament. However, God has different divisions in scripture based on time
(chronologically) and calling (a targeted message or body of truth e.g. direct
mail). Another example of progressive revelation is in John 16:12 (KJV)
where Jesus told his Apostles “I have yet many things to say unto you, but
ye cannot bear them now.” Even after Christ had been resurrected, he tells
the Apostles that everything they need to know is based in scripture Luke
24:44-45 (KJV) “And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake
unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which
were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms,
concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might
understand the scriptures,” No new revelation here. Click here to listen now.
All Truth - Part 2. The lesson on February 8,
2004 is the second studying the idea of All Truth. All Truth incorporates the last body of truth that
was given in scripture. The Apostle Paul was selected to reveal The Mystery that was not
hidden in Old Testament scriptures but hidden in God before the foundation of the world. Christ
promised that the Holy Spirit would lead us into all truth yet any promises given during the Gospels
or Acts period are based in Old Testament truth’s
. When you become a Christian, you don’t automatically know all truth. It comes with the study
of scripture and learning what Paul describes as The Mystery which was given to us and
completed scripture. Truth in scripture is progressive and it culminates in the last body of truth
that was given. As you study scripture rightly divided, you will find this is the final destination for the Christian to know
that Christ is all in all and we are complete in Him. Click here to listen now.
All Truth - Part 3.
Studies of the Scriptures, rightly divided, brings us to all truth for today. All
truth is progressively revealed in the New Testament. During the Acts period we don’t see any
new revelation but the continuation of what was established with the law and the prophets.
We don’t see any new truth revealed until the prison epistles of Paul where in Colossians 1:25
-26 (KJV) he states “Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which
is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Even the mystery which hath been hid from
ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:” This ministry was given to
Paul and was called “the mystery”. God’s desire is for all to understand this truth. The lesson
on February 15, 2004 continues with a third lesson on All Truth. Click here to listen now.
All Truth - Part 4. This lesson is the fourth in a series based on
the book “All Truth” by J. Eustas Mills which discusses how God
has revealed his truth progressively throughout scripture. It also reminds us how God has
promised to give us “all truth” and it’s our responsibility to take it. All scripture is written for us
but not all scripture is to us. This means that we have to learn the principles of right division so
we can differentiate our truth for today vs. the instructions for yesterday in another calling. For
example, the rich young ruler asked in Matt 19:16 (KJV) “Good Master, what good thing shall I
do, that I may have eternal life?” The answer we would have today to this question would be
that we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior. However, at that time, Jesus
answered in Matt 19:17 (KJV) “ Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is,
God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.” Who today would say that is the
requirement for eternal life? No one would because God changed the plan. The lesson on Feb,
22, 2004 continues with the lesson on “All Truth”. Click here to listen now.
All Truth - Part 5. The lesson on March 7, 2004 continues the series on All Truth, which is the
title of a book written by J. Eustas Mills describing the final body of truth given in scripture. As
Christians, we are requested to grown in the knowledge of Christ Jesus by studying His word.
As a new born babe in Christ, we need to desire the sincere milk of the word, then as we
grow we will be able to handle the meat of scripture. God progressively reveals truth in
scripture and it’s up to us to study and learn when and who certain passages apply in order to
rightly divide scripture. For example, in Genesis 1:29, God told Adam and Eve to eat a
vegetarian diet, yet in Genesis 9:3, God told Noah to begin a carnivorous diet. Here is a simple
example how something changed with a latter revelation. Another example is in John 16:13,
when Jesus told the disciples that when the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide them into all
truth because it had not been revealed at that time. Even when it was later in the ministry of
Jesus ( Luke 24:44) when He tells the disciples that there is no new revelation since the events
that transpired was all foretold in the Old Testament in the law and the prophets. Neither was
there anything new in the writings of Peter, James, John, and Jude. Even Paul had based his message on the law and
prophets up until the end of Acts when he then closes with a declaration that the Gentiles would now be authorized to
receive salvation. Now, for the first time, we see Paul talk about a new revelation in Ephesians, Philippians, and
Colossians. The final body of truth given in scripture has particular and specific attributes that apply to the body of Christ.

All Truth - Part 6
. God has given us the opportunity to understand what His program is today
but in Christianity it is often obscured by philosophy and vain deceit, even after tradition or
religion. The pursuit of these things has nullified the proper understanding of our calling or specific mail and consequently, Christians don’t even understand their marching orders for
today. They haven’t regarded the final commandments from above which is what the Apostle
Paul is talking about in Colossians 1:25-26 (KJV) when he says “Whereof I am made a minister
, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:” God has revealed truth progressively in scripture and the final body of
truth was given to the Apostle Paul when he was in prision. This ministry given to Paul is called
the Mystery which was not hidden in the Old Testament scriptures, but it was hidden in God before the foundation of the world. The last seven books written by Paul are Ephesians,
Philippians, Colossians, Titus, Philemon, 1 & 2 Timothy. It’s in these books that we find the final
marching orders for Christians today. The lesson on March 21, 2004 continues the series in All Truth. Click here to listen now.
All Truth - Part 7.
This is the seventh installment in the series on All Truth. The lessons are
based on the book All Truth” by J. Eustice Mills. This lesson covers three topics 1) The ministry
of Paul, 2) The dispensation given to Paul, and 3) the particular riches of this dispensation
which is called The Mystery. In Colossians 1:25-29 (KJV), Paul declares “Whereof I am made a
minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of
God; Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made
manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach,
warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man
perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which
worketh in me mightily.” When you fellowship with other Christians, pointing them to scripture
is paramount so you may help them see this fellowship which God calls “the mystery”. In every
dispensation, God defines salvation and blessing unique to that administration. Paul had a
ministry under the New Covenant under the law, yet it changed when he was given the revelation of the mystery. Under
this administration, there is a dispensation of grace where God deals with mankind exclusively through grace. It’s crucial
to understand the calling that Paul was given during the Acts period and after Acts 28:28. Are you a faithful steward to
this administration? The lesson on April 18, 2004 continues the lesson on All Truth and challenges you be faithful to your
calling. Click here to listen now.
