Audio Formats Supported

This designates a Real Audio file on this siteThere are several ways to listen to audio lessons posted on RightDivision.com. The primary method of listening to audio while connected to the Internet is with Real Audio. Real Player plays Real Audio over the InternetReal Audio is like listening to radio over the Internet This designates a Real Audio file on this site which plays when you are on line. The Real Audio player is provided by a company free of charge (or you can decide to purchase it to have access to more features). The Real Audio files on this site have been encoded to be sensitive to your Internet connection and will even support a 28.8K dial up modem connection. Real Audio has been around for some time an is the number one means of streaming audio over the Internet. However, this format is not designed to download or take with you, that’s where MP3 format comes in.

This designates an MP3 file on this siteMP3 format is designed to download and take with you and it is a non-proprietary industry standard compressed audio format. There are many companies The Apple iPod is an example of an MP3 player.who support playing this format which include Real Audio, Microsoft Media Player, and Yahoo Music just to name a few. The process of creating MP3 files gives the author many choices between quality and compression. The MP3 files on this site have been encoded with a high level of compression to minimize the size of the files as much as possible without diminishing the listening quality too much (however, be warned that the average size of MP3 files on this site is 5 megs for 30 minutes of audio).  When you download these files to your computer, you have the option of putting your MP3 files on any device that supports MP3 format.  You may also use your CD Burner and various software applications to copy your MP3 files to CD-ROM in CD audio format for listening to CD audio wherever a standard CD player is available. This format is good for downloading the lessons and playing them on any MP3 hardware or software player. When you see the MP3 icon on this web site next to an audio lesson, that means you can right click on the MP3 graphic to choose the “Save Target as...” from the menu to save them locally on your computer.
