Audio lessons on “The Last Days”

Attack on America. On September 11, 2001, terrorists hijaked passenger jets and used them as missles by flying them into the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, DC. In the wake of this awful tragedy and act of war, America has called for prayer for the families and victims of this attack. Even though America has been quick to “pray to God”, there has been a distinct lack of specific reference to the one true source of peace... Christ Jesus. As the emotions of the world are caught up in this attack, it’s important to

seek Christ through prayer and reading the Bible. Unfortuantely, there will be those who try and take advantage of our fears and emotions, saying the end of the world is near, or the events in Revelation are beginning right before our eyes. Don’t be fooled... the scriptures are clear on the events that need to take place prior to the Day of the Lord.  The lesson on 09-16 discusses how Christ is the answer to our fears while the latter part of the lesson covers the scriptures that portray how prophecy will begin again with Israel.   Click here to listen now.

tragedies into Biblical events that indicate the “Last Days”. It’s interesting to note that throughout history, many catastrophic events were associated with “Last Days” enthusiasm.  The majority of Christian ministries are always trying to figure out the “Last Times” which includes end times events like the rapture, the tribulation, the millenium. Just like the Apostles who asked the questions: When shall these things be? What is the sign of thy coming? When is the end of the world?. The events spoken of in Daniel and Revelation give no hint about the time in which we live during the dispensation of The Mystery.  The lesson on 10-21 is part one in a series on the “Last Days” teaching.   Click here to listen now.

There are four pre-eminent “Days” mentioned in scripture. These “Days” have specific dispensational attributes. You may wonder which “Day” is active now? What “Days” are ahead of us? Click here now to view two charts that help you understand these “Days” in scripture.

An overview of God’s Revealed Plan and Hidden Purpose in the ages. Here is a chart that is a visual representation of the Bible and will help you put things in order as you study prophetic events in scripture.

Part Two
- There are many “days” mentioned in scripture. It takes a workman to study and sort each reference and determine what applies to whom and when.  The “Last Days” are mentioned in several passages, Genesis 49:1-2 being the first. As you will find, there are two primary sets of “Last Days”. The references in 1 & 2 Timothy apply to us today as members of the Body of Christ which is the church. All other references to The “Last Days” pertain to Israel and the restoration of their Nation. Involved with their restoration is a resurrection, judgement, and a heavenly blessing here on Earth. Many Bible teachers take scripture and prophecy that pertains exclusivly to Israel. Make no mistake, the Last Days pertaining to Israel will happen in the order that God declared in the scriptures.  The lesson on 10-28 is part two of a series on The “Last Days” and teaches on the specific attributes of The “Last Days” in relation to Israel.   Click here to listen now.

Part Three - The lesson on 11-04-2001 is part 3 of a series on the “End Times” Many are asking questions whether or not it’s the “End Times”. The same sentiment was expressed over 2000 years ago when the Apostles asked Christ the question... “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Matt 24:3 (KJV). Ever since then, Christian’s have been using current events of their time to try and predict Christs return and promote “End Times” teaching.  Why? It’s going to be a day of great blessing when the Kingdom of Heaven is here on Earth because that is what is promised to Israel. If so, then when are the Last Days? Well, the return of Elijah is the one event that will verify prophecy is unfolding unto Israel and the times of restitution is at hand.   Click here to listen to the lesson on 11-04.

Part Four - The lesson on 11-11-2001 continues with Part 4 of the end-times mini-series on the “Last Days”. As you study this topic in scripture, it’s important to understand the context of “end times” or “last days” that are referenced in books that were written during the Acts Period. It’s apparent that Peter, John, Jude, and James who wrote their epistles during the Acts period, had expectations that the last days were emminent and ready to begin right then. For example, Peter wrote in 1 Peter 4:7 (KJV) “But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.” 2000 years have passed since then and the Day of the Lord is still a future event. What happened? Israel was set aside and become “Lo-Ammi” as prophesied in Hosea. God took then the salvation that was formerly authorized through the Jew, and now made it authorized unto the Gentiles. This transfer occurred at Acts 28:28 and is revealed for the first time in Ephesians when Paul declares the administration of The Mystery. Consequently, the prophetic events that are specific to Israel were put on hold until Israel is spiritually restored again which is accomplished with the return of Elijah.   Click here to listen now.

Part Five - The Plan of Redemption - God has a plan and purpose for the Ages. He has revealed this plan to us in His Word. As it's stated in 2 Tim 1:9 (KJV), "Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,"The lesson on 11-18-2001 completes two series of studies. First, it ends the series of lessons that pertain to the timing of the New Testament books written during the Acts Period. This lesson also concludes the mini-series on the "Last Days" as Part 5. Both series are very complimentary since the set of “Last Days” specified in Revelation and Matthew were imminent at the end of Acts. The apostles alive at that time like Peter, James, and John declared the “time was at hand”. What happened? With the close of Acts, Israel was set aside temporarily while God revealed another calling (also referred to as “God’s Hidden Purpose”) through the Apostle Paul which he calls "The Mystery". The dispensation of “The Mystery” has its own set of last days as well which is described in 1 Tim 4:1-3 and 2 Tim 3:1-9 and this series has identified the differences.   Click here to listen to the lesson on 11-18-2001

Part Six - The lesson on 11-25-2001 provides one more recap of the study series on the “Last Days” with an emphasis on clarifying the differences between the “Day of Christ” and the “Day of the Lord”. There are four pre -emminent “Days” in scripture. Presently we live in the “Day of Man” which is ends when Elijah returns and ushers in the “Day of Christ” which preceeds the “Day of the Lord” (to review the four days in scripture, click here). The length of the “Day of Christ” is the time that leads up to the Day of the Lord. The final “day” in scripture is the “Day of God”.  Today, the members of the Body of Christ operate under the “Day of Man” and are called to perform good works that God has begun in each one of us. As Philippians 1:6 (KJV) states “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” These good works are to be performed until the “Day of Christ” when Elijah returns to restore Israel.   Click here to listen now about these “Days” in scripture.

The lesson on 12-02 is a review on the “Four Days” in scripture. It also emphasizes on the Day of Christ and provides a handout to help in understanding the timing and length of these “Days” as they are fulfilled in scripture.   Click here to listen to the lesson on 12-02 and be sure and review the handout as well.

The attack on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, DC has caused many people to ask the question “Is this the End Times?” There is much uncertainty and unrest in the world but one thing is certain... Christ Jesus and His Word. It’s in His word where the student of scripture who rightly divides the word of truth, will ask the question and go to the Bible to search for the answer. What you will find is that there are specific events that must occur in order prior to the Lord’s return. These events in prophecy involve the Nation of Israel who must be spiritually restored before the latter days unfold. This restoration is foretold in Malachi 4:4-6 with the return of Elijah. Leland Maples takes the time to describe the order of events that need to take place according to the Bible.   Click here to listen.

Is it the End Times? Is Revelation unfolding right before our eyes?  Well, first things first, Christ promised a few things to Israel that have yet to come to pass. ”Elijah’s Coming”

provides you insight into this topic as well as other neglected prophecies in scripture. This book will help you understand why the status-quo of prophecy is a little out of order. “The Rapture, The Tribulation and The Millennium,“ are future events but do not happen in that order. Some may say, “Armageddon - Now.” but the real key to any prophecy is through Israel and this book explores how and why Elijah must spiritually restore Israel before the coming and dreadful Day of the Lord.  Read more about the book here. Pastor McLain also held several audio lessons on the “Sign’s of the Times”. Here are five lessons from the 1986 audio archives that cover prophetic events of our time.

The Last Days. Are we living in them now? Before we know whether or not we’re living in the Last Days, we must not take what someone else says but go to the scriptures to find out what they say about it. Here is a lesson from Michael Penny of the Open Bible Trust that was presented in 1986 regarding the Last Days.   Click here to listen now.
