Michael Penny
was born in Ebbw Vale, Gwent, Wales in 1943, and was educated at King Henry VIII School, Abergavenny. He read Mathematics at the University of Reading
before teaching for twelve years and becoming the Director of Mathematics and Business Studies at Queen Mary’s College Basingstoke in Hampshire, England. In 1978
he entered Christian publishing, and in 1984 became the administrator of the Open Bible Trust, a position he held for seven years, before moving to the USA and becoming
pastor of Grace Church in New Berlin, Wisconsin, a position he held from 1991-1999. In August 1999 he, his wife and children returned to England where he continues writing and editing for the
Open Bible Trust. At present he is the Mathematics Coordinator at Reading Alternative School, a school for children with emotional
