1. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 20:28) that Jesus Christ was the Word and the Word was God (John 1:1) that He was God manifest in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16).
2. The all sufficiency of Christ’s sacrifice for sin (Acts 4:12; Hebrews 10:14) that salvation is by grace through faith in the completed work of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary’s Cross (Ephesians 2:8-9).
|
1. The full inspiration of the Scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16) that they were written by holy men of God who were moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21).
2. The responsiblity of each believer to live a life worthy of the Lord pleasing Him in every way by bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:10; Ephesians 2:10).
3. The study of the Scriptures as enlightened by the Holy Spirit, Who bears testimony through them to the Lord Jesus Christ, is the sure foundation for the continual
growth in faith which is a necessity for every believer; for faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17; 1 Corinthians 2:6-16).
4. Whilst acknowledging the Lord’s gift of teachers to His people (Epheasians 4:11) we maintain that Scripture is the sole arbiter in matters of Christian doctrine and
practice and that received traditions and opinions, however widespread or ancient and however vigorously supported by men of whatever eminence, learning and godliness, are of no binding authority except in so far as they are clearly demonstrable from the Word of God (Romans 10:17; 1 Peter 1:24-25).

1. The correct handling of the Scriptures (2 Timothy 2:15) that in the interpretation of Scripture it is important to take account not only of what is written but of whom, to whom, with what words, at what time, to what intent, with what circumstances, and considering what goes before and what comes after.
2. The need to take note in Scripture of God’s different dealings with men at different times and places and in particular the change recorded in Acts 28:17-31 with the resulting ministry of the Apostle Paul the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of the Gentiles (Ephesians 3:1-9).
3. After the close of the Acts period and the setting aside of Israel as God's source for salvation (Acts 28:28), the Apostle Paul was given a special ministry (Col 1:25) which was to reveal God's hidden
plan to the Gentiles. This hidden plan was never before made known in other ages or to the other generations (Col 1:26) but was revealed by direct revelation from Christ to the Apostle Paul (Eph 3:5). Paul then
taught this truth to the Gentiles while completing the last 7 letters written in the Bible (chronolocially, these are Ephesians, Colossians, Philemon, Philippians, Titus, 1 and 2 Timothy). This body of truth is called The Mystery (Eph 3:9; Col 1:25-26) and the believers during this administration have a calling, blessings, and inheritance apart from Abraham (Abraham and his decendants will receive what they have been promised). The Church today, which is His body (Col 1:18), has it's inheritance in the heavenlies with Christ. Christians should not look for a Kingdom here on Earth but the Kingdom of His dear Son (Col 1:13) - for today's believer has citizenship in the heavens (Phil 3:20). Today, (Eph 4:4-6) there is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. This was the last body of truth given in the Bible and it completed the Word of God (Col 1:25-27).
